More incidents of vandalism
have emerged
The BBC has discovered that
the phrase “all Muslims are terrorists”
was added to a page about veils
Another edit had deleted the
text in Cherie Blair’s entry about her flat buying scandal that made headline
news in 2002
A public apology was made
after it emerged she had bought two flats at a discounted price with the help
of a convicted fraudster
The latest revelations that
have emerged are that insults had been added to the entry for the Hillsborough
Disaster
A Liverpool Echo reporter
discovered these insults posted on the website’s Hillsborough Disaster page
They had been made using
computers within the government’s internal intranet
Stevie Benton, from Wikimedia
UK told the BBC, “We find this kind of vandalism appalling”
Wikimedia UK is the local arm
of the global Wikipedia Foundation, a charity set up by the online
encyclopaedia’s founder Jimmy Wales
It supports the thousands of
volunteers, who edit and maintain Wikipedia
“While vandalism does occasionally happen we are grateful to the
many thousands of volunteers who write, edit and organise the content”
The BBC has found that more
than a hundred instances of inappropriate editing, vandalism and deletion have
been made
These are all by computers
known to be used by government machines
The Cabinet Office has stated
that the amendments to Wikipedia are sickening
This behaviour is in complete
contravention of the Civil Service Code, yet it carries on
The Cabinet Office has stated
they will investigate to examine the offensive edits to Wikipedia and will look
at all the concerns raised
Mr Benton from Wikimedia UK
has praised the work of Wikipedia editors in correcting the changes
The volunteers removed very
quickly these discrepancies on their scripts
Edits made by government
computers have come under greater scrutiny
This was following the
Liverpool Echo’s report on the Hillsborough Disaster
This has brought further
misery to those who have lost loved ones in that horrendous disaster
The people who inflict
suffering on those who are still in bereavement, have sick minds and should be
held accountable!
An anti-toxic dump campaigner
in South Africa has been recognised with a prestigious environmental award
Desmond D’Sa’s efforts
resulted in him winning the Goldman Environmental Prize
The awards are described as
the Nobel Prize for grassroots environmentalism
Mr D’Sa and five other
winners will receive their awards in a presentation ceremony in San Francisco
on Monday
As a co-founder of the South
Durban Community Environmental Alliance he campaigned to raise awareness of the
plight of communities
They had been living
alongside the waste facility
He got people to collect
samples of air in their communities and these were sent off to the US, where
they were analysed
The results of the various
smells showed how they had an impact on people’s health
The studies showed that more
than half of the 300,000 strong population had chronic asthma
There was a qualified cancer
risk of 25-in-100,000 people compared with 1 in 100,000
In lobbying officials he
stated the human cost was too high and the dump was closed
“As a result, the trucks that carried all the highly toxic waste
through the communities are no longer there,”
he said proudly
It is comforting to know that
there are many people, who are saving both lives and the environment
It is these people who need
to be highlighted in the battle they face against corrupt governments and
industries
As in the case of Ruth
Buendia, who fought a powerful campaign against large scale dams that would
have uprooted indigenous communities
They were still recovering
from the Peru’s civil war
Rudi Putra, a biologist who
found there were illegal palm oil plantations that were causing massive
deforestation in northern Sumatra
He not only protected the
habitat, but also the critically endangered Sumatran rhino
Helen Slottje helped towns
across New York State to pass bans on fracking, as it damaged the structure of
the earth
All these people stick their
neck on the line for us & we should thank them for their unstinting
devotion to humanity and the environment
We could all do with more of
them!
Police are now examining
evidence, which suggests there was a cover-up over claims that Cyril Smith
sexually abused boys
This is said to have occurred
at a school in Rochdale
The leader of Rochdale
Council and Greater Manchester’s Chief Constable are due to give an update on
these claims
The abuse having been carried
out at Knowl View School for boys
Officers are already
investigating the abuse allegations and the Council are widening their own
inquiry
There are also claims that
Smith abused boys at the privately run Cambridge House Children’s Care Home
A pattern was perpetrated by
Jimmy Savile when innocent children were in homes supposedly to be protected
Yet they were exposed to the
flagrante abuse by these paedophiles that get away with it, because of their
famous position
MP Simon Danczuk has written
a book about Cyril Smith
Allegations about Smith’s
conduct were first published in 1979
With Danczuk’s new book, a
number of victims have come out to see him and they have raised concerns
Police are also looking at
whether there was a cover up at Rochdale Council
This was one of the
authorities that ran Knowl View School
It is now widely claimed that
Smith used his position of power to sexually abuse young boys and then escape
prosecution
The problem that abuse
victims had, over thirty years ago, was that nobody would believe children from
Homes of telling the truth
So the matters were always
dropped
It takes years for victims to
summon up the courage to face the crime that has ruined their lives
For many, the trauma is too
great and too painful to admit
They scurry away from society
with guilt that somehow they themselves were to blame for their demise
It really is high time that
high-profile people, especially those who are in a position of trust, are
exposed for who they are
Whatever the perpetrators
punishment, it can never be enough compared to the continual suffering of those
who had their lives spoilt
These very sick characters
gave a lifetime’s sentence to their victims and the emotional scars run deep
In the next life, the likes
of Jimmy Savile and Cyril Smith will have to see the results of their sickness
There will be no getting away
with it. They will need to make amends
Unfortunately there is no
comfort to those who still suffer daily, as they are branded psychologically by
their oppressors
This world is a very harsh
place for them to bear
We pray that their suffering
continues to diminish and that they find the right help to alleviate their pain
In the world today it is
refreshing to hear of something worthwhile and sobering
Mexican writer and journalist
Elena Poniatowska has received the most important award for literature in the
Spanish language
The Cervantes Prize was
presented to Elena by King Juan Carlos of Spain in a ceremony in the town of
Alcala de Henares
It is the birth place of Miguel
de Cervantes
Elena, who is 81, is only the
fourth woman to be awarded this prize in its four decades-long history
Her writings explore the
social injustices of Mexico
One of her most famous
investigative works is ‘Massacre in Mexico’, which chronicles the 1968
killings
There, hundreds of student
protesters in Mexico City were brutally killed at the hands of the military
Another of her famous pieces
a non-fiction work, ‘Nothing, Nobody: The Voices of the Mexico City Earthquake’
Here she reported on the
aftermath of the 1985 quake. More than 10,000 people died and there was lack of
action by the Government
Interspersing victims’
personal stories and her own reflections she has created a powerful account
Her account describes the
ensuing disintegration of the fabric of society
Many of her works have
focused on roles of Mexican women, especially in their history
Women of the Mexican
Revolution, which traces the story of women soldiers through photographs and
text
In Elena’s acceptance speech
she recalled the nation’s less fortunate people and the continuing struggle of
its women
She is an amazing woman and
is an inspiration to many Mexican women, who see her as the voice piece where
so many do not have a voice
Her sensibility is like a breath
of fresh air
The Mexican Government should
take note and learn from this distinguished writer and journalist
There should be many more
female voices, but like all greats this one is exceptional
President Putin’s aggression
and bullyboy tactics have now opened up a hornets’ nest of disagreements
The Russian and the Crimean
people will be the ones to suffer and pay the most
Crimea gets its much needed
water supply for its crops from the Ukraine
Their crops of grapes, rice,
maize and soya will be ruined if they do not get enough water soon
Russia has said the
Crimea-Ukraine border is now officially a state border
The Russian Government has
already plans to establish permanent checkpoints there as new rules for
entering and leaving Crimea
The North Crimea Canal
delivers water to Crimea from the River Dnieper in Ukraine’s southern Kherson
region
The canal accounts for 80% of
Crimea’s water
The current water shortage
held up by Ukraine is threatening 120,000 hectares of Crimea’s crops, which
rely on irrigation
A ruined harvest across this
area would mean losses of up to $140m – a deficit Moscow could well do without
at this time
Credit ratings agency
Standard and Poor have cut Russia’s rating to one notch above junk status
This move comes as foreign
investors continue to take money out of the country amid tensions over the
situation in Ukraine
The downgraded Russian
ratings are from BBB to –BBB, other credit rating agencies are likely to follow
suit
The situation between Russia
and the Ukraine has seen significant outflows of both foreign and domestic
capital from the Russian economy
This will further undermine
an already weakening growth prospect
Investors have been pulling
out money from Russia since last year when the country’s economy ran into
trouble
The situation has intensified
over Putin’s rash bully movements of wanting Ukraine back in the fold
In just three months, foreign
investors have withdrawn $63.7bn, which has caused a significant economic
slowdown
Russian shares have traded lower
this week and fell further with the downgrade due to the weakness of the rouble
They have lost 8% against the
dollar
It might seem alright in
Putin’s eyes to work his aggression out on the Ukraine
He feels he is justified in
taking Crimea away from the Ukrainians
In a global market where we
are all attached to each other and dependant on each other…
…then delusions of grandeur
play no part in today’s survival
If Moscow thinks it can
outwit the world with ideas of aggression it will need to think again
The screws of economic
sanctions will start to play a significant part in the lives of Russians and
Crimea
They sadly believe the
propaganda that is foisted on them
Little does the man in the
street conceive what will happen to their economy as it begins to bite
All they can think of is
Mother Russia. Mother Russia is no longer what she was
The realisation that we are
all interlinked and that we all depend on one another will start to dawn on
them
They will have to realise
their misjudged ideas as personal hardships begin to sink in
Who will be prepared to save
Russia? Only a diplomat who has the interests of his people and not of a
dictator!
Sherpa guides in Nepal are
meeting climbers at the Everest basecamp to decide whether to cancel ascents
Last Friday an avalanche
killed sixteen Sherpas
The Sherpas risk their lives
daily, as they go up Mount Everest. Such are the dangers that are held around
the mountain
The Sherpas wish to boycott
their assistance to climbers unless they get a bigger share of the revenue from
foreign climbers
Last Tuesday the Government
raised the amount of compensation it is to offer the families of those who died
The Sherpas also want better
measures to ensure speedy rescue and treatment facilities for guides
This has been long overdue
and is badly needed
One of the guides who died
was working for a UK based company and the other five of its Sherpas were
injured when the avalanche struck
The Sherpas also want a
boycott as a mark of respect for their dead colleagues. All were experienced
and dedicated climbers
Those who lost their lives
were on the slope early in the morning, fixing ropes for climbers and preparing
the route
The avalanche struck a
passage called the Khumbu Icefall
It is riddled with crevasses
and ice boulders that can break free without warning
Although it is relatively low
on the mountain, it is one of the most dangerous points
There are no safer points
along the famous South Col route, first scaled by Sir Edmund Hillary and
Tenzing Norgay in 1953
Sherpas often make 20-25
round trips to carry kit and supplies to advanced camps
This again exposes them to
further risks and complications
Some 250 climbers have died
on the mountain with many Sherpas going up to retrieve the bodies for burial
Thus again putting their
lives at risk
Because of the high prestige
that the mountain seduces, it has become a very lucrative industry to the
Government
They earn millions of dollars
each year in fees for climbing permits
It is high time that Sherpas were
fully recognised
They are the ones who risk
their lives so that others may claim victory
The difficulty of the work
should be reflected with a salary that shows the enormity of the valuable work
that they do
It is the Sherpas who
safeguard all those who wish to climb
Without the intense knowledge
of daily difficulties that the mountain imposes, it cannot be mastered without
the Sherpas expert knowledge
It shows how good a job the
Sherpas are willing to undertake with the rising numbers of tourists
There have also been raised
concerns about safety and environmental damage
Every time another climber
goes up, more rubbish is left behind
It has now been ruled that
climbers must bring back their own rubbish, which has further caused hazards to
climbers and Sherpas
There will be new guidelines
for both Sherpas and climbers and where respect for all is now coming about
In Iran they are marking
Women’s Day and Mr Rouhani has urged equal opportunities and rights for both
men and women
He has criticised those who
consider women’s presence in society as a threat
He further said Iran has a
long way to go to ensure gender equality
Foreign activist groups argue
that Iran’s laws discriminate against women
Yet Rouhani still maintains
that he will not accept the culture of sexual discrimination against women
Women must enjoy equal
opportunity, equal protection and equal social rights, all this he said on
Iranian television
Yet Iran’s Supreme leader,
the highest authority in the land, states that he did not oppose women’s
employment…
…but it should not conflict
with their main issue, which was women’s role in the family environment and the
household
Even though, women in Iran
have served as lawmakers in Parliament
In 2012, several Iranian
universities introduced rules banning female students from nearly 80 degree
courses
They are drawing criticism
from campaigners
A human rights group Amnesty
International said in its 2013 report that Iranian women faced discrimination
This is in law and practice
with relation to marriage and divorce
Also their inheritance rights
were not observed together with child custody and nationality and international
travel
In May 2013, a constitutional
body in Iran ruled that women could not run in Presidential elections…
…all in all, women should
know their place, which is in the home where they can be of no harm to men
It is men who seek to
maintain the upper hand in Iranian life
They are truly afraid of
women to install such draconian methods to keep them subservient in this day
and age
But women the entire world
over are starting to fight back with every means at their disposal
Men will need to think very
carefully if they wish to continue in this selfish way
More women are becoming
independent and they will no longer tolerate these rulings by men
The Internet is a powerful
tool and women are now uniting in a common theme of united power and support,
which is growing daily
Iran will need to come into
the 21st century whether it likes it or not
There are subtle ways in
which women do win and this is happening all the time
They have after all right on
their side and justice will be done whether men accept it or not
The tide is turning and can
never be stopped!
Thousands of runners are
preparing to take part in an emotional Boston Marathon on Monday
It will be with some sadness,
but also with a reunification of souls who are united in both grief and
optimism
These special people will
feel the strength and determination that no matter what happens…
…this race will give credence
to those who lost their lives and for the many who were wounded in the bomb
blasts
All those runners who were
killed and those who suffered will be united in a single determination
That is that decency, honesty
and togetherness count for something
Religious hatred and ideology
can have no place in this special event
So united, this race will
carry on with a more determined fervour than at any other time
The runners’ resolve will be
strengthened, as collectively they are united in a common theme of comradeship
and love
Many more people will wish to
participate in this special event
They will send out a clear
message that whoever wishes to destroy these innocent people, and this event,
will see that they cannot win
Common decency is what unites
them all
Some 36,000 participants will
start in this race – 9,000 more than last year
The event will become more
special with every passing year showing that Mankind will not be put down by
those who act through violence
This year will be an
especially exciting race with two runners fighting out amongst themselves for
the top prize of winning
A glorious day with much
patriotism and love will make this race a euphoric moment in all their lives
This holy day of Easter
Sunday, the day Our Lord Jesus rose again from the dead, is a very important
day in the Christian calendar
It is equally important as
Jesus Christ is recognised as a great prophet in the Muslim world as well as in
the Jewish faith
Jesus is alive and
flourishing today and many have seen him, as they have Mary the mother of Jesus
People the world over see
holy visions of the saints and of Jesus
His proof to us that he rose
again from the dead was his teaching to us
It was so that we would
understand that life continues after this earthly body is no more
For many who have seen Jesus,
there can be no doubt that he lives and is working on our behalves
One does not need to be a
believer or have a faith of any kind, just to know that what you saw in your
vision was real
It has a profound effect on
all those who have seen him. Their lives have been changed for the better
Every moment of every day one
in two people have a spiritual experience the entire world over
Thus their lives have been
changed for all time, where through great trauma or through impossible odds
Jesus has been seen
The love he gives is a
significant turning point in their lives forever
The fact that Jesus left his
physical body and rose again in his Spiritual body happens to all of us who die
in this earthly life
We are born again as he was
and are reunited with our loved ones as Jesus came back and visited Mary
Magdalen and his apostles
So many earthly beings have
enjoyed a reuniting with their deceased family members
They have had open conversations
with them as normal
It is the Church alone who
puts a stigma on our talking openly to our deceased loved ones as if it is
something that is ungodly
It is the Church alone who
think they have the monopoly of speaking to those we love
This is not so, as it is the
deceased loved ones who decide who they wish to speak to and it never involves
the Church
Why should it? They wish
alone to speak to their families and know that the Church would interfere with
their communication
There are many people who see
Jesus and, where he has actively helped them, none are in any doubt of what
they have seen
The light and the love is so
powerful and one instinctively knows it comes from a higher power, the Divine
All those who have been
privileged to have seen Jesus from different parts of the world, all speak of
the overwhelming sense of love
There is wellbeing that they
received in his presence
The love was so profound that
all sense of fear was totally removed, such was the impact that they felt
They knew they were saved and
whatever ordeals they still had to encounter on this earth…
…they were in no doubt that
Jesus lives on for our benefit and the benefit of the world
For those of us who do
believe without question, our lives are forever rich
We know we are in the power
of love, which daily sustains us and we are all rich indeed
The problem Mankind has, is
that he no longer respects himself or anyone else
Too many of us are only
involved in the self and how things appear from our own stand point alone
Until we begin to see how our
actions can hurt or harm another, then there is little hope for Mankind to
recover
There is such an inequality
within Mankind today
An example of this is the air
pollution that drifts all around China, which kills off its own land and its
own people
Then it drifts off over other
countries infecting and damaging their land and people and nothing is said or
done about it
There are wars around the
world, because of inequality and injustice to so many people. It all breeds civil wars and unrest
It is as if no one cares any
longer and the precious few who do get lambasted in so many ways
They appear to be fighting
against the tide of negativity that is wreaking havoc everywhere in the world
today
What is happening now is that
the tide of despair is now turning and that Spiritual Law is being enforced in
a rapid way
This will allow for Mankind
to start thinking with others in mind and where they will be rewarded for their
acts of kindness
It will continue to follow on
the more kindness that they do
It is a form of teaching,
where their conscience can no longer escape the penalties of what they have
done wrong
It goes against the good that
they will receive when they do something right
So like children, the entire
world over, a new concept of thinking is strongly being introduced
Mankind will start to calm
down and begin to mend his ways
It will take time, but what
is now needed and is now coming to the fore, are certain role models
Then young and old can start
to see the right way to conform, which is being recognised and upheld against
those who do wrong
It is Mankind alone that must
start to learn what is basically inherent in them
Man has chosen to ignore it,
hoping to continue down a road of selfishness as being the only route that he
can recognise
There must be a permanent
shift of the mind-set to address the misdeeds done by Mankind, where good at
last can be restored
Just recently a wonderful
woman called Peaches Geldof parted this world. She was just 25 years old
Her life was struck down when
her dear mother Paula Yates died, when Peaches was just 11 years old
When a child loses a parent
& where there has been so much love, that soul becomes broken & it is
as if the light has gone out of her soul
Her loving father, Sir Bob
Geldof, was the support that kept her going
He was never able to
completely fill that void that was so deeply entrenched in Peaches’ heart
As a result, her body and her
mind still held the shock of her mother’s death
She carried it with her
throughout her life, never finding the peace she so badly needed
When you look into Peaches’
eyes, it tells the real story that she carried this grief always
She could not find the solace
that would really have comforted her. She was in fact pining away
In time she was able to find
a man who truly loved her, her husband Thomas
He was able for a time to
give her that valuable support of love and understanding, but the inner pain
lingered on
Her two beautiful young sons
gave her the anchor she felt she needed, but their birth took its toll on her
fragile body and mind
Peaches is a remarkable
person to have kept going as long as she did, which showed the true guts and
courage that she had
Eventually it became too much
and so she literally ran out of steam and could do no more
Peaches is now reunited with
her beautiful mother in the Spirit Realms & with the Spirit doctors &
nurses will be able to finally heal
That void will be filled with
the Divine love together with her mother’s for all time
My husband Michael and I
reunite people with their deceased loved ones, but only if they wish to come
through and make that connection
Peaches felt her mother’s
presence when she had her babies, so it would have been highly likely she would
have come through
By making that contact, both
physically and emotionally, people are able to finally heal and carry on with
their earthly lives
Sadly for Peaches, she was
not steered to our door and so unfortunately we were not able to make that
connection for her
She has now and, for Peaches
at last, she will have peace of mind
She will be fully healed and
restored to full health and vigour in her Spirit body
She will be shown ways in how
to assist in her sons’ future and give strength to her loving husband to carry
on
At this time she will be held
in peace and love until she fully recovers
She is not dead, but fully
alive and functioning
Sadly for many in the West,
death is a taboo subject
If we were born in the East,
it is normal to talk with our loved ones on a natural day to day basis.
They are not mad. They are
normal as their ideology is different to ours
They do not suffer the same
trauma that death brings to us and therefore they recover more quickly
They fully understand where
their loved ones have gone, while we in the West do not!
Unless of course you are
involved in this valuable work, then many will continue to suffer the anguish
of death
That is the suffering that
bereavement entails
Peaches, you are alive and
God Bless you!
The Roman Catholic Church in
England & Wales has turned down a request by members for results of a
sexual ethics survey to be made public
This survey was commissioned
by Pope Francis
Reformers say that the
Churches refusal to publish results suggests the Church is not sincere about
sharing responsibilities with laypeople
The survey tackled subjects
such as contraception, cohabitation and homosexuality
It also informs the Vatican
about family life in modern day
Many Catholics see this as a
sign that the Church’s teachings would be reformed
That laypeople will have a
greater say in how the Church is governed
Catholic Churches in Germany
& Austria have described the wide gap between the Church’s teachings and
the behaviour of ordinary Catholics
Pope Francis is calling
bishops to Rome to discuss possible reform that considers modern social
realities
He further states the
Catholic Church is too tied up in small
minded rules
Had Jesus Christ been alive
in the flesh today, he would have advanced with the needs of the people
He would have continued his
Ministry on today’s lives and not what was appropriate 2000 years ago
We have all moved on since
then and life is very different from those days
The Catholic Church remains
entrenched in those Dark Ages because it has not caught up with today’s
problems
By their very actions they
prove they do not care
Birth control has been
practiced by well-educated Catholics for decades in total defiance of the
Catholic Church
Common sense and their
conscience made them realise they could not afford to have multiple children as
they could not afford them
Everywhere where the Catholic
Church has the greatest control is where the people are ignorant and cannot
fight back
Such is the stranglehold of
the indoctrination of the Church that they forget about love & survival –
that does not enter into their setup
An example of this is where a
young girl has just been rescued, who has been starved by her foster parents
They kept her in a garage for
nine years with only bread and water to live on
The child weighed 20 kilos
and while in captivity her only company was a dog and a monkey
If she ate the leftovers from
the animals she was beaten
Her biological parents, who
had seven more children, could not financially look after her, so she was put
with foster parents
This child is not alone and
where the Catholic Church is involved, so multiple children are born
It is regardless of whether
the parents can support them, which often is just impossible
The children are sent out to
work from an early age to bring money for the home, so that the family can eat
The Church has a lot to
answer for and cannot ever now take the moral high ground with their own
adverse codes of conduct
At last a result, even if it
is an almost a non-event
Silvio Berlusconi has been
given community service in a home for the elderly
This is his punishment
following his conviction last year for tax fraud
The 77 year old has been
spared prison, because the Italian legal system is lenient to those over
seventy
His alternative to the
community-service sentence would have been house arrest
He will work one half-day a
week at the home for the elderly and disabled people near his estate outside
Milan
He will also be subjected to
a curfew and banned from meeting people with criminal convictions like the
Mafia!
Remembering that Berlusconi
used to run Italy and has dominated politics for nearly 20 years…
…this verdict of having to
work in an old folks’ home is a very different experience to his time in the
Prime Minister’s palace
Berlusconi has now fallen a
long way and it is not over yet
The more he thinks he can
exert his rights, the more he will be curbed and set as an example to the world
His behaviour will no longer
be tolerated and many doors will be closed to him from now on
Whatever his arrogance may
think, this man is toxic in more ways than he will ever realise
The Higher Intelligence will
keep pulling him down until at last he will realise the consequences of his
actions
Berlusconi’s downfall, like
others of his mind-set, is justified!
The Guardian & Washington
Post have shared the Pulitzer Prize for public service journalism for a series
of stories on US electronic spying
Their reporting was based on
documents leaked by former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden
Among other winners of the
top prize in US journalism was the Boston Globe for breaking news reporting
Also two staff writers of
Reuters news agency were awarded the prize for international reporting
In the case of the Guardian
newspaper…
…their reporting sparked off
a debate about the relationships between Government and the public over issues
of security and privacy
Their publications were both
authoritative and insightful
This helped the public
understand where the disclosures fit in the larger framework of national
security
Mr Snowden himself has said
the Guardian’s award is a vindication for everyone who believes that the public
has a role in Government
Josh Haner won the feature
photography category for a moving essay on a Boston Marathon bomb blast victim
who lost most of both legs
Many journalists are
imprisoned for doing their jobs like the Aljazeera staff, who were dealing with
sensitive issues in Egypt
They are Peter Greste, Baher
Mohamed, and Mohamed Fahmy
Prosecutors have failed to
produce any evidence for their imprisonment, yet they are held now for 108 days
without trial
The court even denies them
bail and has adjourned their trial four times
There is international
condemnation, as journalists need to cover issues around the world without fear
of imprisonment
We must never forget Marie
Colvin
She was a Sunday Times
journalist and a French photographer, who were killed in the besieged Syrian
city of Homs
Colvin was known for wearing
a black eye patch after she lost an eye due to shrapnel wound while working in
Sri Lanka in 2001
These journalists covering
these kinds of work shoulder great responsibilities and sometimes they face the
ultimate price
We, the general public, owe
it to the brave efforts of all these courageous reporters and their colleagues
They keep working in the face
of extraordinary intimidation and circumstances
These journalistic rewards
are much needed and more should be acknowledged by the general public
If it were not for them, the
truth would never come out!
More evidence of Spiritual
Law is enforced: the latest comes from China’s police force
They have seized tens of
thousands of illegal guns and knives
More than 10,000 guns and
120,000 knives have been confiscated after what has been a four-month
investigation
Some fifteen people belonging
to a criminal network have been arrested
A suspect in an armed robbery
in Guizhou province told police about his supplier
The gang had a distribution
network of weapons to 27 provinces
China forbids gun ownership.
This illegal arms ring was a family run business and even gave out business
cards all over China
This has highlighted the
extent that violence is so rife in this world
Anything can be bought with
no questions asked or if it is right to do so
Mankind has seriously lost
its way and it is up to the authorities to make their own countries safe for
their own people
This huge haul is now the
start of a much greater control by China to protect its people and for more
severe laws to be enforced
Marcello Dell’Utri, a
lifelong friend of Silvio Berlusconi, has been arrested in Lebanon
He was arrested in Beirut
just days before a definitive verdict in his long-running trial
A lower court earlier decided
he was guilty of having liaised between a Sicilian Mafia boss and Silvio
Berlusconi
If Italy’s highest court
hearing upholds that conviction, he could face seven years in jail
Evidence is there that
Marcello Dell’Utri had liaised with the Mafia and openly with Berlusconi
This further exacerbates both
of their downfalls
As is usual both deny the
association, but as more evidence comes forth their denials will fall on deaf
ears
It is time that the Italian
people really saw the type of people that they have given their trust to
It makes a mockery of
democracy and honesty in both Government and the media
The act of contrition by Pope
Francis won’t wash where the victims themselves are concerned
One could say this is the
first act of full admission by the Church
It had to be seen to be doing
something to abate the onslaught by organisations as big as the UN
Their open pressure and
criticism has shown the Church’s contempt to do just enough to satisfy the
media and the UN
It is the victims whose lives
have been wrecked by these paedophile priests
It is their stain that will
remain with these victims for life, something the Church still seems to be
naïve in realising
It is only when one has been
so brutalised that one can fully understand and appreciate the horror
It is that horror that these
innocent children have had to endure
The Church is far too
flippant in its handling of these cases
So called sanctions are
supposed to be imposed, but what those sanctions are has yet to be revealed
The victims do not want
sanctions they want justice
They want these perpetrators
of crime to be sentenced and jailed, not sanctioned
Until the Church understands
the severity of these crimes, nothing will satisfy these victims whose lives
have been ruined for life
The Church still deliberates
about exposing all these paedophile priests
Open justice needs to be seen
by all as it will continue to bring down this Church
There is a need for full
examination of the Church’s motives
Does it want to serve the
people in a strong moral outlook and show that it is caring?
Or does it wish to hide under
the cloak of protection it still surrounds itself in?
The answer is simple
The world’s press and
organised groups will tear down the very fabric of this organisation and show
it for what it is
Thousands are abandoning the
Church every day and it only has itself to blame
It has lost touch with the
people and is only interested in its own survival!
President Putin has announced
that gas supplies to the Ukraine could be cut if Kiev does not pay off its
debts
He further warned that this
could affect gas deliveries to Europe
Gas disputes with the Ukraine
have already led to gas shortages in several EU countries
At last Europe and the Ukraine
have woken up to the type of a person President Putin is
He is a man who dictates what
he wants and when and always on his terms
The people of Russia
themselves have very little freedom and have to suffer shortages on many levels
The Government is not
interested in their own people. This is commonly known
Freedom of speech is not
allowed & to speak out against the Government, where there is so much
corruption, is dealt with very harshly indeed
It is the elite who get all
the privileges and the common man takes the brunt of what is thrown at him
Putin wishes to remain at the
helm of power forever, if he can control events to suit his purpose
He is a dangerous man and a
fearful one of losing control and his power
Elections are rigged to keep him
in power, which is just par for the course
Now he is wielding his might
over Ukraine and being dictatorial towards Europe regarding gas supplies
He can hold them all to
ransom
The wakeup call for Europe is
to realise they cannot trust a despot who equally goes to bed with another,
i.e. Bashar al-Assad
Europe must now seek its
independence of Russia and its gas supplies
Eastern Europe i.e. Poland,
Hungary, Bulgaria and Czechoslovakia have all suffered extreme hardships under
Russian dominance
They were forced to provide
for Mother Russia
They paid a huge price by
being deprived of basic human needs as Russia demanded that these countries
supplied them
All were unwilling, but were
forced to do so under the occupation after World War II
There is no compassion in the
Russian Government
Even Russians themselves
remain restricted in so many ways. Big brother certainly keeps an eye on them!
Europe needs to safeguard
itself and the Union cannot afford to be so naïve as to think that Putin is the
good guy!
At the rate that Putin is
extending his might and bullying tactics, all will see a backlash of biblical
proportions
Something he never thought
possible before
A medical charity has accused
the UN of showing ‘shocking indifference’ towards displaced people in South
Sudan
They are sheltering at one of
its compounds. About 21,000 people were living in flood water contaminated with
faecal matter
Medecins Sans Frontiers (MSF)
said the UN has not yet reacted to their statement
This group of people sought
refuge at the compound after fighting broke out between Government and rebels
in December
Over one million people have
fled the conflict with 803,200 having been displaced in the country
Over 250,000 have fled into
neighbouring countries. At this time the UN have 8,000 peace keepers in South
Sudan
Diarrhoeal diseases,
respiratory infections and skin diseases have broken out with these displaced
people in this compound
UN’s failure to improve
conditions is shameful
In the first rainfall of the
season 150 latrines have already collapsed mixing in with the flood water
The rains, which can last up
to six months, are getting heavier
If nothing continues to be
done the consequences, which are already horrific, could be fatal
At the same time UN peacekeepers
have failed to protect civilians in Sudan’s Darfur region even where they have
been shot in front of them
Ban Ki-moon is part of a
conspiracy of silence about the conflict
A UN spokeswoman resigned
last year, because she felt ashamed to be a spokesperson for a mission of lies
The spokeswoman Aicha el
Basri said she decided to speak out after the UN ignored her appeals to
investigate its operations in Darfur
Civilians were shot in front
of UN forces and they failed to act, they just watched
This conspiracy of silence
has extended all the way to the top to Ban Ki-moon
Mr Ban has failed to mention
in his report released about the conflict in Darfur that…
…the Government forces had
bombed villages 106 times in 2012
This flagrant cover up will
have far reaching repercussions in both Darfur and by MSF regarding UN’s forces
of neglect
Its wilful disobedience to
protect the very people they were sent out safeguard
This is just the tip of the
iceberg as more shocking practices will be revealed
The truth always comes out
and by those who are on the ground regarding these activities
You can never silence those
whose integrity is for the welfare of those who are suffering
Mr Ban Ki-moon will be
replaced for his many acts of folly, not only in Sudan but in Syria and CAR as
well
He is not man enough for the
job
With the UN’s so called
special tasks forces, involving so many innocent civilians, there needs to be a
person at the helm who is not afraid
He must be able to make
important decisions to save lives
Mr Ban will be further
exposed and so the necessary changes will come about
The UN needs leadership and
where one is up to the mark and is not there for person gain
Japan’s Olympus faces
lawsuits from six banks seeking compensation over false financial statements
from 2000-2011
The financial institutions
are seeking a total of $273m in compensation
Olympus was entangled in one
of Japan’s biggest accounting scandals, which came to light in October 2011
The then chief executive
turned whistle-blower revealed investment losses, which were hidden for years
When the scandal was made
public, the chief executive was dismissed from his post after challenging his
chairman and the board
His challenge was over
suspiciously large payments related to acquisitions
This then led to an
investigation, which revealed a cover-up of losses going back to the 1990’s
The chairman and the board
members were arrested in February 2012 & were indicted on violation of the
Financial Instruments and Exchange Act
All admitted to hiding the
losses
The Olympus scandal hit its
shareholders hard, as the firm lost 80% of its value after the revelations were
announced
It does not matter how long
it takes, bad practice and dishonesty are always found out
More and more companies and
institutions behaving in this way are being caught out
Individuals are no longer
safe where dishonest and fraudulent behaviour is practiced
The law of the land will find
them out and justice will be done
Spiritual Law is also very
powerful and forthright
Everybody, no matter how high
and mighty they may feel, will see their day come and where they will pay for
their misdeeds
Every day someone or some
company is being held accountable for their dishonest ways
No one can hide against these
laws and so retribution will be given to those who have suffered under the hand
of their perpetrators
Their expose will see a
higher moral upturn starting to grow and where the public will see that these
crimes are no longer be acceptable
The public outcry of
politicians fiddling their expenditures is another aspect
The taking from the public
purse to feather one’s own nest is objectionable
The world now is looking for
a moral compass, which has been sadly lacking over decades of bad practice
Countries behave badly and
get away with it, setting the wrong example to other countries to behave in the
same way
It is high time that this is
now being reversed and Mankind is now seeking a better framework of life where
the rules apply to everybody
Not just a few who feel they
are exempt from the rules, while others suffer at their hand!
The UN is still ashamed over
its failure to prevent the 1994 genocide in Rwanda
This was announced by the UN
chief Ban Ki-moon while addressing thousands of people in the capital Kigali
Rwanda begins a week of
official mourning to mark the 20th anniversary of the genocide
Many people were overcome by
the emotion during the ceremony with some suffering fits
At least 800,000 people died
at the hands of Hutu extremists
The killings ended in July
1994 when the Rwandan Patriotic Front seized control of the country
Rwanda’s President Paul
Kagame and Mr Ban lit a torch, which will burn for a 100 days – the length of
the time the genocide lasted
There was also a wreath
laying ceremony at the national genocide memorial
At the time the UN took over,
they then deserted the people leaving a blood bath in their wake
It was finally the act of the
Rwandan Patriotic Front, who rescued this devastated population
Whole families and villages
were wiped out by being macheted or clubbed to death by wielding Hutu
extremists
Families that were rescued by
the UN were then separated and literally farmed out to various parts of Europe
Brothers separated from
sisters, mothers from husbands and children
Instead of saving these
desperate families who survived and…
…keeping them all together,
they were placed in different countries all alone and where their native
language was not spoken
The UN’s rescue mission such
as it was, was a sham
Then they literally washed
their hands of the responsibility of their own input of the genocide
It was French soldiers who
helped to train the Hutu extremists and even helped them to escape
They have the blood of the
Rwandan people on their hands
The world should have stepped
in and should have stopped the slaughter, but did nothing!
The amount of stress in
today’s life is phenomenal
So many people are thinking
they can no longer carry on with their lives and want to get out of it
Stress in today’s society is
a killer with physical ailments increasing all the time
Health issues, where nervous
breakdowns are the prime aspect, show increased unhappiness
People feel they have to
shoulder those burdens alone
We have become a pill-popping
nation with stress related conditions
The medical profession are
stumped to know what to do, never mind find a cure for it
Doctors are prescribing
anti-depressants as the panacea for all ills
Especially when they are out
of their depth to be able to treat what they do not seem to understand
The general public now are at
a loss in how to deal with these problems
Try as they may to sort
matters out, they feel overwhelmed and under supported
Again the medical profession
deals with the symptoms presenting, never looking at the root cause as it does
not appear to be in their remit
This allows for problems to
continue untreated for years
Eventually one pays a heavy
price with either a breakdown physically or mentally
Mankind must start to realise
that he is not alone and that there is help out there
The medical profession do not
know all the answers and so another way is found and relief on a substantial
level is achieved
By understanding the problems
fully, we all can start to deal with our own health issues
We must allow control into
our own lives without trying to work blindly all the time
Stress is a mental condition,
where the individual feels overloaded
It is by relieving that
stress mentally and emotionally that relief can come about
By understanding our weaknesses
& trying alternative forms of practice to rectify these situations, so that
we can become stronger mentally
Then we no longer feel
helpless, but finally back into control
There are many different
forms of therapy out there
It is only by deciding to
take control instead of pill-popping all the time that we can begin to get
better
We must address our many
fears, so that stress begins to leave us and we are no longer a slave to these
conditions
Where there is a will, there
is always a way!
Leaders of Thailand’s
pro-government movement have warned…
…that any attempt to oust
Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra could trigger a civil war
This warning was given to a
rally outside Bangkok. Opponents of Ms Yingluck have filed legal cases against
her
Months of anti-government
mass protests have failed so far to unseat her
The pro-government chairman
said judicial institutions were trying to take over power without elections
Ms Yingluck is facing
mounting legal cases, including charges of neglect of duty and abuse of power
There are also corruption
charges which her brother was facing and where he left the country leaving his
sister in charge
He is the power behind her
throne and that is why the people are so angry
Ms Yingluck’s party have won
the last five elections. They are known for buying their votes in the rural
areas
That is why the people no
longer trust this ballot box as being a fair way of electing any future Prime
Ministers
They wish for Thailand’s
democracy, which is deeply flawed, to be reformed before another election can
be held
As always it is a hold onto
power scenario, where once in the power, it is so difficult to give up and that
is why power corrupts
Ms Yingluck is wishing to
stay in power at whatever costs including a civil war. Yet again the people are
irrelevant
Thailand will have its say
and it will happen much sooner than anyone imagined
There are no winners right
now, but the tide is turning rapidly against this present government
The people of Afghanistan are
voting for a new President in what will be the nation’s first ever transfer of
power through the ballot box
A massive security operation
is under way to thwart the Taliban, who have vowed to disrupt the election
It is time now that the
people of Afghanistan really voiced their opinion
They need to seek their
rights and independence from a force bent on fear
Only the people themselves
will have this power & where there may be some overlap of voting the vast
majority will see it as legal & fair
Many of the Afghan soldiers
will also want to express their right as well as the ordinary people
They have fought bravely to
bring stability to their own country and where the law is enforced a greater
democratic power is given
Start to see a new
Afghanistan approach where fear no longer applies
The people are defiant
against a regime that is hell bent on crushing them
This will be no more and
every day renewed confidence in this country evolves
The people are more secure
and less tolerate of the Taliban, whose influence is waning because of their
archaic ways
Start to see new life and
impetus returning to this troubled land
Even though there will be
some disruption, the democratic process will win the day
A court in Mumbai has found
three men, who have already been convicted of two gang rapes…
…guilty under a new law that
carries the death penalty
Both the victims, a telephone
operator and a photojournalist, were attacked in separate incidents at an
abandoned textile mill in the city
The 18 year old telephone operator
came forward to report that she has been assaulted in the same place a month
earlier
It shows systemic acts of
pure violence, almost as if the gang were waiting for their next prey
It is the first time the new
law targeting repeat sex offenders has been used in India. Both trials were
fast tracked
Last month a Mumbai court
sentenced four men to life in prison for the gang rape of the telephone
operator
Three of those sentenced were
also convicted of the gang rape of a photojournalist last August
In India, where a rape is
recorded every 22 minutes, it is a frightening realism
Scrutiny over sexual violence
has grown since the gang rape and murder of a 23 year old student on a bus in
Delhi
The attack on the Mumbai
photojournalist has renewed public outrage at India’s high level of sexual
violence
It’s high time that these
crimes were further highlighted & that the general public pushed for
further safeguards on women in their society
India has let their female
population down
It is now down to women to
fight back with greater protests for their species to be honoured and not
brutalised
After all, these thugs all
had mothers and where does it leave them?
Completely defenceless, as
this brutal mind-set continues to act in this cowardly way
India, you have let down
almost half of your population
What a state to be in, in
what they purport to be a civilised society
